Donald M’Devatt guilty of the highway robbery of Michael Motter in the parish of Warrington on 1st March 1800: robbing him of a leather portmanteau (valued at 3/-)  and 15 leather bags (valued at 15/-) (a mail robbery).  He was also charged with Brady and Burns with the similar mail robbery under the name of James Weldon (otherwise Donald M’Devatt). His execution was reported under the name of Weldon.  He was hanged in chains at Ashton.
